This home, located in northern New England, is a good example of how I like to work. Preserving the best aspects of the original, the new 2008 design added a new floor for a master bedroom suite, renovated the existing floors into modern flowing spaces, changed a dangerous concrete ramp into a curved-wall media room, and created a covered walkway and stair entrance from a new garage down a rocky, inclined site. My clients brought me back to add a guest wing and office in 2010. The design is based on multiple levels and geometries that afford ever-changing views of the Connecticut River valley below and the Vermont hills beyond. [ more ]
